چکیده
This study validates the use of available tools for nonlinear finite element dynamic analysis (NLFEDA) modeling unbonded post-tensioned reinforced concrete (PT-RC) members under drop weight impact and is first attempt at low-velocity to authors’ knowledge. The was performed in two parts. portion determined appropriate mesh material properties testing setup specimens that were generated by authors. second then established level convergence model based on a wide range design loading parameters. NLEFDA validated using experimental data obtained from laboratory investigations behavior shear-critical flexural PT-RC members. interaction between prestress, as applied PT tendon, surrounding well modeled presence large shear failures concrete. techniques, coupled with studies, can be helpful expanding understanding

Serviceability Response of Rehabilitated Unbonded Post-tensioned Indeterminate I-Beams Consisting UHSSCC
The ultra-high strength self-compacting concrete, UHSSCC is the new generation type of concrete with a compressive strength higher than 80MPa. The application of this type of concrete on the serviceability state in CFRP strengthened unbonded post-tensioned indeterminate I-beam is monitored and the results are compared theoretically using different standards. For this aim, full scale I-beam of 9...
متن کاملUltimate Unbonded Tendon Stress in CFRP Strengthened Post-Tensioned Indeterminate I-Beams Cast with HSCs
Based on the bending experiment for two-span continuous post-tension beams with unbounded tendons and externally applied CFRP sheets, the analysis of the stress increment of unbonded tendons is monitored in the loading process. Since self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a suitable innovation,, understanding the implementation of this type of concrete on the ultimate unbonded tendon stress is criti...
متن کاملExperimental Study and Modeling of Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened by Post-Tensioned External Reinforcing Bars
The utilization of unbounded external reinforcing bars is one of the strengthening methods used after loading stage and before failure. The method has been used in different forms to strengthen members of reinforced concrete structures. To investigate the effect of utilization of post-tensioned reinforcing bars in this method of strengthening, a number of reinforced concrete beams was tested. S...
متن کاملA Numerical Study on Aluminum Plate Response under Low Velocity Impact
In the present paper, a numerical study is performed to investigate the response of different plates aluminum alloys subjected to low velocity impact condition. In this regard, the square AA5083-H116 aluminum plates with dimensions 300×300 and 3 mm and 5 mm thick under low velocity impact are modelled, and a mesh convergence study is carried out to decide the appropriate number of elements. In ...
متن کاملNonlinear Models of Reinforced and Post-tensioned Concrete Beams
Commercial finite element software generally includes dedicated numerical models for the nonlinear response of concrete under loading. These models usually include a smeared crack analogy to account for the relatively poor tensile strength of concrete, a plasticity algorithm to facilitate concrete crushing in compression regions and a method of specifying the amount, the distribution and the or...
